Butt Lodge offers seven rooms, including the Castle Suite with a four-poster bed and mezzanine sitting area, the Newton Suite with a separate lounge, and the Hutton Room with a sofa overlooking the golf course. Each unit has a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, with some rooms providing a fridge for guest use. Rooms are decorated with Scottish decor and feature Arran toiletries, fresh local milk, and homemade marmalade.

Mac, a trained chef, prepares evening meals from locally sourced ingredients, with menus that change nightly and include options such as sea bass, venison pie, and Arran whisky and pecan tart. Breakfasts offer a full Scottish cooked option or overnight oats, with homemade granola and local produce like cured venison and Arran cheese. The lodge is not licensed but allows guests to bring their own wine or beer without a corkage fee.

The lodge sits directly behind the 18-hole Lochranza Golf Course, where red deer and red squirrels are regularly seen from the windows. Lochranza ferry terminal is 2 km away, Brodick ferry terminal 23 km away, and the Arran Distillery is a 10-minute walk. Guests can golf, cycle, hike, or walk to the nearby Fairy Dell and seal-spotting spots along the coast.

The lodge reduces waste by providing fresh milk in reusable bottles instead of single-serve sachets, and serving homemade marmalade in reused jars. Recyclables are collected separately, and room servicing is done only on request to minimize environmental impact. These practices are part of the owners' commitment to eco-friendly operations.
